Above are two pictures in front of the fountains at the Burj Khalifa take about two years apart.  I just thought it was interesting to see how it has progressed.  The second is a little blurry of Ben and me, but you get the idea.

It is hard to believe that we have less than 11 weeks left in this calendar year.  What?! Crazy.  Somehow time seems to have sped up.  With that, my posting habits have suffered.  We seem to keep ourselves much more busy these days.  Ben has agreed that we both are more open to doing things than when we were in Dubai.  This is partially due to cost, partially due to convenience and partially due to being in our comfort zone again.

 

That all being said, here is a quick picture + caption rundown of what we have been up to:

Our Lives in Photographs: End of the Dubai Chapter

When everything was packed and ready do go, I lined
our suitcases up at the door with our shoes for flight.

Waiting for this day, I thought it would be a celebration.  Now that the day has come and passed, it was more of a heavy-hearted departure than anything else.  Good things have come from our return to the States, but a part of my heart will always be with those we shared our lives with in Dubai.

I discovered this picture of my handsome hubs on my camera and thought it was excellent!  This was right after we went Skydiving.  O how I wish we could go again!

My first ever knit project!!!  It is a baby blanket for one of my bff's.  Now I just need to add a border to bring it all together.  I'm quite proud of it!  AND it is soooo comfy and soft.  Cotton, not wool.

This is a vine plant that they use as a filler around walkways and what not.  They are flowering now and I LOVE the star shape of the little purple blooms!

 These bushes line the sidewalk, separating you from the busy road.

Beautiful, fragrant flowers that adorn the bushes lining a nice sitting area by our building.

Grover like smelling the flowers, too.  :)

Just a few pictures from around our apartment building. We took Grover for a walk and the flowers were in bloom and absolutely beautiful!  I obviously played a little bit with the color selector feature on my camera.  :)  There are new blooms popping up all the time here and it is quite lovely.  One of the perks of living in a warm climate.

P.s. I am saving and looking forward to purchasing a swanky camera so I can take some rock star, artsy-fartsy pictures.  These pictures were just taken with my point-and-shoot camera.

This was taken after our last Dinner Theater performance senior year of high school! (2006).

It's fun to look back at photos knowing what we do now.

We both agree that even then we loved each other. Throughout our years after high school that didn't really change no matter where we were.
It just took us a while to figure it all out.  :)
